Our recent project for All Pro Restorations is a perfect example of how strategic design and high-quality materials can turn a factory-standard vehicle into a professional mobile billboard without breaking the bank.
The Project: Ram 2500 Spot Graphics
All Pro Restorations brought us their Ram 2500, which came from the factory in a stunning metallic red. Because this specific shade already perfectly matches their existing fleet profile, we didn’t need to worry about a color change. Instead, we focused on “spot graphics”, applying decals and logos to specific areas of the truck rather than wrapping the entire body.
Why Spot Graphics?
For many businesses, spot graphics are the ideal middle ground for vehicle branding. Here is why they worked so well for this Ram 2500:

Premium Materials for a Professional Finish
Even though this was a budget-conscious install, we never compromise on quality. For this project, we used 3M Gloss IJ175 print film paired with 3M 8518 Gloss Overlaminate. This combination is a gold standard in the industry, offering vibrant color reproduction and a high-gloss finish that complements the truck’s metallic paint. The 8518 laminate provides essential UV protection and durability, ensuring the graphics stay sharp through the rigors of restoration work.
A Note on Long-Term Maintenance
While spot graphics are an excellent choice, we always want our clients to be fully informed about the long-term life of their vehicle’s finish. One thing to keep in mind with spot graphics is the “fading gap.” Over several years, the areas of the truck covered by the high-quality 3M vinyl are protected from the sun, while the exposed factory paint will naturally weather and fade at a different rate. If the graphics are removed years down the line, you may see a “ghosting” effect where the paint underneath looks newer than the surrounding areas.
