Pricing That Makes Sense

No two wraps are identical — vehicle size, surface complexity, material choice, and design work all affect the final number.

But here's what you can expect:

Full color change wraps on passenger cars and trucks typically range from mid-hundreds to several thousand dollars depending on the build. Commercial and fleet pricing scales with vehicle count and design complexity.

What drives the cost up:

  • Larger vehicles (trucks, vans, SUVs)
  • Custom stripe packages or multi-layer designs
  • Surface prep on vehicles with existing damage
  • Add-on services (PPF, ceramic coating, window tint)

What keeps it honest:

  • We use 3M 2080 series as our standard — not entry-grade film
  • Every quote is based on your specific vehicle, not a generic estimate
  • We don't cut corners on prep, because a failed wrap costs more to fix than it does to do right

Why Wrap Instead of Paint?

A traditional paint job is permanent. A wrap is not and that's the point.

Vehicle wraps protect your factory paint while giving you full control over your vehicle's look. When you're ready for a change, the film comes off cleanly and your original paint is underneath, untouched. That's something a respray can never offer.

Here's how they stack up:

VEHICLE WRAP:

  • 5–7 year factory warranty (3M 2080 series)
  • Thousands of finishes including matte, satin, chrome, and texture
  • 100% reversible — preserves resale value
  • Protects against minor abrasions, UV fade, and road debris
  • Can be partially wrapped (roof, hood, mirrors) without a full commitment

TRADITIONAL PAINT:

  • Permanent — no easy reversal
  • Limited to standard paint options without major custom cost
  • No paint protection unless PPF is added separately
  • Respray typically voids factory corrosion warranty

For collectors, daily drivers, and fleet owners alike, wraps deliver more flexibility for less long-term risk.

Recent Installs

AZ Rag operates out of a climate-controlled installation bay at 3110 Henson Rd in Knoxville. We serve vehicle owners and commercial fleet operators across East Tennessee — from Maryville and Oak Ridge to Farragut, Kingsport, and beyond. Every install comes with a 30 and 90-day follow-up inspection, included.

What types of vehicle wraps do we do?
Color change wraps cover the full exterior of the vehicle in a new finish — matte, satin, gloss, chrome, brushed metal, color shift, and more. You keep your factory paint underneath, protected. When you are ready for a change or selling the vehicle, the film removes cleanly.

Partial wraps cover specific panels — roof, hood, mirrors, pillars, rockers. A blacked-out roof on a white truck or satin hood delete on a sport car is a partial wrap. Most partial jobs are completed in a single day.

Custom graphics and stripe packages are printed in-house on our HP large-format printer using 3M IJ175CV3 film. Color, design, and placement are all custom.

Pricing depends on coverage and design complexity.

Commercial and fleet wraps turn your vehicles into moving billboards. We handle everything from single-van spot graphics to full multi-unit fleet branding. See our commercial wrap page for fleet-specific pricing and the MCS warranty coverage that comes with every 3M print job we produce.

How do I know if my vehicle is ready for a wrap?
Factory paint in good condition wraps cleanly and removes cleanly. Chipped, peeling, or recently resprayed paint requires assessment before we start. We do a walk-around inspection at drop-off and document the paint condition before any film goes on. If there is something that needs attention, we will tell you before we proceed — not after.

What does a vehicle wrap cost in Knoxville?
Full color change wraps on passenger cars start around $2,500 and scale up based on vehicle size, surface complexity, and material choice. Trucks and SUVs run higher. Partial wraps start lower depending on panel coverage. Commercial vehicles are quoted per unit. Our vehicle wrap cost guide has a full breakdown with real numbers by vehicle type and service category.

Can I wrap only part of my vehicle?
Yes. Partial wraps — roof, hood, mirrors, pillars — are one of our most popular services. You get the custom look without a full commitment.

How long does an install take?
Most full color change wraps are completed in 2–4 business days. Complex designs, larger vehicles, or add-on services extend the timeline. We'll give you an estimate before we start.

Will a wrap damage my paint?
No — provided your paint is in good condition before install. The film is pressure-sensitive adhesive and removes cleanly. This is why we do a pre-install surface inspection on every vehicle.

Can I wash my wrapped vehicle?
Yes. Hand washing is preferred. Avoid high-pressure washes directly on edges and seams. Full care instructions are provided at pickup.

What happens if the wrap is damaged?
Unlike paint, sections of a wrap can be repaired or replaced without touching the rest of the vehicle. Bring it back in, and we'll assess.

The Process - 5 Step Journey

Consultation & Design

Every masterpiece begins with a conversation. Visit our studio to explore hundreds of finishes in our sample books. Our in-house design team can create digital renderings to visualize your vehicle’s new identity before the first inch of vinyl is laid.

Precision Disassembly

The difference between a "wrap" and a "transformation" is in the details. We carefully remove badges, lights, and trim to ensure the vinyl is tucked seamlessly. This eliminates visible "seams" and ensures the cleanest, most durable install path possible.

Decontamination & Prep

A wrap is only as good as the surface beneath it. Your vehicle undergoes a multi-stage decontamination wash in our climate-controlled bay. This surgical-grade preparation ensures maximum adhesion and a mirror-smooth finish that rivals factory-quality paint.

The Master Install

Our 3M Certified installers apply your chosen film with surgical precision. From standard color changes to custom stripe packages, we manage every curve. Ask about our door jamb wraps for a true "hidden" color change that completes the aesthetic.

The Quality Standard

Once the install is complete, we perform a final inspection. To maintain your 5–7 year warranty, we schedule 30 and 90-day check-ups. We ensure the film is settling perfectly against the elements and that your investment remains in showroom condition.
