The Lexus SC300 has been a drift platform staple for decades. The JZZ30 chassis is light, balanced, and takes an engine swap well. This one belongs to DiMartino FAB, a fabrication shop that built the car to compete — twin-turbo setup mounted under a cut-out hood window, full cage, and a livery that needed to represent both DiMartino FAB and their primary sponsor, RTS Race Tech Services Inc., every time the car rolled into a paddock.
The Platform
This SC300 is a full competition build. The hood features a louvered cut-out panel with two turbos visible under it — a detail shot that makes the post stand out from a standard livery feature. The front bumper runs T&E Vertex bodywork, the interior is stripped to cage and competition seat, and the car sits on a staggered wheel setup dialed for track use. It arrives at AZ Rag ready to run. The livery has to match that level of build quality.
The Livery
The color story starts with a deep gloss purple base across the front clip, roof, and rear of the car. Black sections take over the side panels and create the canvas for the graphic work: purple lightning crack elements fracturing through the black, outlined in gold to give the graphic depth and separation at any viewing distance. The effect reads like a storm breaking through the bodywork.
RTS Race Tech Services gets the primary door panel position — large holographic chrome lettering that shifts under different lighting conditions. DiMartino FAB takes the rear quarter in gothic script with a matching holographic FAB block. Haltech owns the windshield visor banner. Simpson, BC Racing, Garrett, Vibrant, Grip Royal, Vertex, and Radium fill the secondary sponsor positions across the lower bodywork.
Every element is digitally printed. The holographic treatment on the RTS and FAB lettering is a print production decision — it cannot be replicated in cut vinyl. The cracked lightning pattern transitioning between purple and black across the door requires the full-panel print approach to land correctly on the SC300’s long door geometry. The Build Context
