AZ Rag Installation & Print Services is a 3M Certified wrap installation company and a member of the United Application Standards Group (UASG). We are also an Avery Certified wrap installer.
3M Certified Company
The 3M Certified Graphics Installation Company program, established in 1999, is administered for 3M by the United Applications Standards Group (UASG). Companies with this distinction are recognized by 3M and UASG for not only their installation skills/knowledge, but also their sound business practices and accountability to a Code of Conduct.
- Carries liability insurance (verified by the UASG once per year).
- Meets certain business requirements (annual confirmation and random site visits), and ensures employees follow proper company policies and 3M installation procedures.
- Passes a rigorous hands-on and written test by at least one employee in the company at the 3M Company, St Paul, MN test facility. The test includes graphics applied to surfaces such as: floors, walls, textured walls, trailers and vans/autos.
3M MCS Program — Printer Registration
Beyond installer certification, AZ Rag’s HP large-format printers are registered with 3M’s Matched Component System (MCS) program. This is a separate qualification that most certified installers do not hold — and it is the reason our commercial graphics carry the most comprehensive warranty available in the printed graphics industry.
The MCS program is a system warranty for printed commercial graphics. It covers the entire graphic as a unit: the 3M film, the inks, the overlaminate, and the installation together. Standard warranties from any manufacturer cover materials only. The MCS warranty covers the system. To qualify, all three components must be verified simultaneously: 3M-qualified film, a 3M-registered printer using approved inks, and a 3M Preferred Installer. AZ Rag meets all three.
Most certified installers cannot offer MCS warranty coverage because they outsource their printing, or print in-house on equipment that is not registered with 3M’s program. Even when 3M film is used, the warranty chain requires the print process to run through a registered facility. Outsourced printing breaks that chain regardless of which film or installer finishes the job.
For commercial fleet customers, the practical difference is material: on a qualifying MCS warranty claim, 3M in most cases covers both materials and labor for the repair. On a fleet of 10 vehicles, the difference between a materials-only warranty and an MCS warranty is the reinstallation bill. Every commercial graphic we produce on 3M IJ175CV3 film is MCS-eligible. Avery Certified
Louie is an Avery Certified Wrap Installer (CWI), meaning he has passed Avery Dennison’s strict testing standards to be a professional wrap installer. Avery’s test is rigorous, therefore, carrying this certification means that our wrap quality is second to none. This gives us a competitive advantage that brings quality and excellent workmanship to your install whether it is a vehicle wrap, sign, or any large format print.
AZ Rag IPS is Knoxville, Tennessee’s source for Car Wraps in Matte or Gloss finish. We are a full-service facility that can also offer printed wraps. This allows us to cater to all business types, from Lawn Service to HVAC companies. Our show series wraps are also an excellent way to spruce up your daily driver. Our wrap installs have been seen at SEMA in Las Vegas.
