A tow truck that looks like it means business is not an accident. Bennett’s Towing’s Ford F-550 Super Duty came to AZ Rag white and left black — a full color change wrap combined with commercial vehicle graphics in a single build. The result is one of the cleaner tow truck wraps we’ve done.

Two Jobs, One Build
Most commercial wrap jobs are one or the other: color change or graphics. This one was both. The F-550 needed to go from the factory white to a deep matte black, and it needed Bennett’s Towing branding applied on top of that. Running both in one build means the materials have to be selected and sequenced correctly from the start.
The cab and visible body panels were color changed using 3M 2080 cast film — the right choice for a heavy-duty work vehicle that needs durability over aesthetics. The 2080 series is a conformable cast vinyl that handles the complex panel geometry of an F-550 cab without pre-stretching or forcing.
The Bennett’s Towing graphics were printed separately on 3M IJ175cv3 and laminated with 3M 8518 overlaminate for durability. The IJ175cv3 is a cast print media built for vehicle graphics that need to hold up outdoors long-term. The 8518 overlaminate protects the print from UV exposure, abrasion, and the kind of wear a working tow truck accumulates daily.
The Look
All-black on an F-550 Super Duty reads differently than it does on a passenger car. The truck is already a substantial presence on the road — the black wrap removes any softness the white paint had and replaces it with something more direct.
The Bennett’s Towing logo sits on the door in white and grey, sized for visibility without overpowering the cab. The phone number runs below it, clean and legible. The branding is confident without being loud — which is exactly the right tone for a towing and recovery operation.
The front end is particularly strong. The blacked-out Super Duty grille, wrapped hood, and wrapped fenders make the truck look like it was built black from the factory. That’s the goal with a quality color change wrap — the result should not look like a wrap.
Why Material Selection Matters on a Work Truck
An F-550 tow truck is not a show car. It runs every day, in every condition, and it gets used. The film has to perform, not just look good on day one. That’s why 3M 2080 for the color change and IJ175cv3 with 8518 for the graphics are the right combination here — proven materials from a manufacturer AZ Rag is certified to install.
