Genesis GV70 in CheetahPCC No Soup For You: Color Change and Paint Protection in One Film

A gloss lavender Genesis GV70 is not something you see in a Knoxville parking lot every day. This one rolled out of our shop wearing a finish called “No Soup For You,” and the color is only half the story. The film doing the work is CheetahPCC, a protective color change film that changes the look of the vehicle and guards the factory paint at the same time. Here is what went into it.

One Film That Changes Color and Protects the Paint

Most owners think they have to choose. You either get a color change to stand out, or you get clear paint protection film to keep the paint safe from rock chips and road rash. CheetahPCC is built to do both in a single layer. It carries the pigment that gives this GV70 its lilac shift, and it brings the thickness and durability of a protective film over the panels it covers.

For a luxury SUV like the Genesis GV70, that combination makes sense. The owner wanted a finish nobody else in town has, without giving up the resale value that comes from keeping the original paint untouched underneath.

Why CheetahPCC “No Soup For You”

CheetahPCC runs a palette of 63 colors and finishes in gloss, satin, and matte. The naming is intentionally offbeat. Instead of borrowing names like “Ferrari Red,” the brand uses catchphrases picked up during a five year development process, which is how a gloss lavender ends up called “No Soup For You.”

The color reads differently depending on the light. In open shade it leans soft lilac. Under direct sun it pushes toward a brighter pink-violet with real depth in the gloss. On the GV70’s long body lines and sculpted hood, that shift is what makes people stop and look twice.

Installing Color Change PPF on a Genesis GV70

A protective color change film is thicker and stiffer than standard color change vinyl, which makes the install more demanding. Every panel gets cleaned, decontaminated, and edge-wrapped so there are no exposed seams for the film to lift from later. The GV70’s front fascia, mirror caps, and the curves around the wheel arches all take patient heat forming to lay the film down flat with no bridging or fingers.

We pulled the finish tight into the door shuts and around the badges so the lavender looks factory, not applied. This is the same standard we held on the gloss Plum Explosion Supra we finished recently. Tight lines and clean edges are what separate a wrap that lasts from one that peels.

The Result

The finished GV70 looks like Genesis could have sold it this way. The color is unique, the gloss is deep, and the factory paint underneath is now protected by the same film carrying the color. The owner gets the standout look and the long term protection in one job.

Why the Southeast Trusts AZ Rag

Color change paint protection film leaves no room for shortcuts. The material costs more, it behaves differently than vinyl, and the edges have to be perfect or the whole job shows it. As a certified installation company and a 3M Preferred Installer, AZ Rag brings the same process discipline to newer film technology like CheetahPCC that we bring to every wrap that leaves the shop. That is why owners across East Tennessee bring us the cars they care about most.
