Spot Graphics on a GMC Kodiak C4500 for XS Power Batteries: Carbon Fiber Vinyl in Knoxville, TN

This is not a work truck. It is a show truck built to represent a brand, and it does that job from a quarter mile away.

XS Power Batteries brought their GMC Kodiak C4500 to AZRagIPS for spot graphics. The truck was already a statement: custom body work, slammed stance, deep orange paint, dually rear axle. What it needed was branding to match. We applied the XS Power graphics in TeckWrap Twill Carbon RCF11, a 4D carbon fiber vinyl, across the doors, quarter panels, and tailgate.

Why Carbon Fiber Vinyl on an Orange Truck

Flat black graphics on an orange vehicle work. Carbon fiber graphics on an orange vehicle work harder.

The TeckWrap RCF11 is a textured film. The twill weave pattern creates a depth that flat black cannot match. Against a high-gloss orange surface, the carbon texture catches light differently at every angle. The graphic reads as dimensional rather than printed. On a truck this size, with graphics this large, that difference is visible at distance.

The XS Power logo covers the majority of both door panels. At that scale, material choice is not cosmetic — it is structural to the look. A flat decal that size feels stuck on. A textured carbon film at that scale feels built in.

Scaling Graphics for a Medium-Duty Platform

The Kodiak C4500 is a medium-duty commercial platform. The door panels are significantly larger than a pickup truck’s. The cab-to-bed proportions are different. Graphics that would look oversized on a half-ton read correctly here because the canvas is bigger.

Installing large-format spot graphics on a vehicle this size requires precision in placement. The logo had to be positioned to account for the body lines, the door handles, the mirror brackets, and the step wells below. Edge alignment on a curved, high-gloss surface at that scale leaves no margin for adjustment after the film commits.

We also applied the XS Power Batteries URL across the tailgate and logo graphics to the rear window, keeping the branding consistent at every viewing angle. If you want to see another high-profile brand build we worked on, the T3 Vodka NASCAR wrap is a good comparison.

Commercial Spot Graphics vs. Full Wrap

This truck did not need a full commercial vehicle wrap. The orange paint is part of the brand identity. Covering it would have been wrong. Spot graphics let the base color remain the dominant visual element while adding the branding layer on top.

For businesses building a brand presence on the road, that tradeoff is worth understanding. A full wrap makes sense when the vehicle color is generic and the brand needs to own the surface. Spot graphics make sense when the vehicle already has visual character and the brand needs to work with it. For XS Power on this truck, spot graphics were the right call.
