A color change wrap swaps your vehicle’s factory color for premium vinyl. No repaint, fully reversible, and it protects the original paint underneath. In Knoxville, a full color change runs from about $3,900 for a coupe up to $12,000 or more for a large SUV or a specialty finish. The spread comes down to three things: your vehicle’s size, the film you choose, and how much of the car gets covered. Here is what to expect, based on the work we actually do.
Color Change Wrap Cost by Vehicle (Knoxville, 2026)
| Vehicle class | Full color change | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Coupe / compact / sedan | $3,900 – $5,900 | Corvette, 370Z, Charger, most sedans |
| Crossover / midsize SUV | $5,400 – $7,900 | Tesla Model Y, Genesis GV70, Range Rover |
| Truck / van / full-size SUV | $6,400 – $9,400 | F-150, GMC Sierra, Ford Bronco |
| Large SUV / 3-row / exotic / premium finish | $8,400 – $12,000+ | Mercedes G-Wagon, Escalade, McLaren |
What Affects the Price
- Vehicle size and shape. More panels and tighter curves mean more material and more hours on the car. A two-door coupe is a different job than a three-row SUV.
- Film and finish. Gloss is the baseline. Satin, matte, color-shift and flip films, and chrome finishes cost more because the film itself costs more and takes more care to install cleanly.
- Coverage. Most color changes are priced for the external panels of the vehicle. Door Jambs are extra. Partial coverage costs less. We tell you exactly what is and is not wrapped before you commit.
- Add-ons. Chrome delete, a contrasting roof or tuxedo top, and custom accents each add to the total. They also make the result look factory instead of covered.
- Prep and condition. Vinyl needs a clean, sound surface. If the paint needs correction or repair first, that gets quoted up front, never as a surprise.

Protect Your Color Change
A color change is an investment in how your vehicle looks. Two add-ons keep it that way:
- Ceramic coating over the wrap. Adds gloss, makes the film easier to wash, and helps it shrug off road grime and UV. Ask about it with your quote.
- Paint protection film (PPF). Clear film on high-impact areas (bumper, hood, mirrors) stops rock chips and scratches before they reach the wrap. You can also do a color change and paint protection in a single film, like the Genesis GV70 we did in CheetahPCC.

Color Change Wrap FAQ
Does a wrap damage the factory paint? No. Installed and removed correctly on sound paint, a quality wrap protects the paint underneath and comes off clean.
How long does a color change last? A premium film, cared for, typically looks great for five to seven years.
Can I change just part of the car? Yes. Roof, hood, mirror caps, and accents are all common partial jobs and cost less than a full color change.
How long does the install take? Most full color changes are 4-7 business days in the shop. We give you a real timeline with your quote.
