Travis Mathew x MasterCraft Boat Wrap: Full Hull Print in Knoxville, TN

MasterCraft boat Travis Mathew sponsorship livery wrap blue camo pattern on water

When a brand like Travis Mathew needs a boat wrapped, the standards are different. The finished product ends up in brand photography, on the water at events, and in front of an audience that notices the details. This is that build.

The Project

Travis Mathew, the California-based golf and lifestyle apparel brand, partnered with MasterCraft to produce a branded wake boat wrapped in their signature aesthetic. AZRagIPS handled the wrap. The result is a full hull print in a deep navy digital camouflage pattern with Travis Mathew branding running the length of both sides and the MasterCraft identity retained on the bow.

The on-water lifestyle photography speaks for itself. This boat was built to be seen.

The Print

The wrap was printed in-house on our HP 800 Latex printer. Latex ink is the right choice for marine applications, it bonds to the film without solvents, holds color under UV exposure, and doesn’t off-gas after install the way solvent inks can. On a boat that’s going to sit in the sun and take water contact regularly, that matters.

The digi-camo pattern runs across the entire hull as a continuous graphic. Getting a seamless pattern across a hull this size requires the print panels to be planned and seamed precisely before install begins. The Travis Mathew logo placement on both sides had to be centered and level across a curved surface — no room for drift.

The Film

The printed graphic was applied to 3M IJ175cv3 with 3M 8518 overlaminate. IJ175cv3 is a cast film with Comply adhesive technology, it conforms to compound curves and releases trapped air during application, which matters on a hull with complex shape changes from bow to stern. The 8518 overlaminate protects the print from abrasion and UV degradation and provides the surface finish.

For a marine environment, film selection is not optional. A lesser film lifts at the edges when exposed to water consistently. Cast film with the right overlaminate holds.

Wrapping a Boat Hull

Boat hulls present challenges that vehicles don’t. The compound curves below the waterline transition to flatter surfaces above it, and the geometry changes significantly from the bow to the transom. A graphic that works on a flat panel has to be engineered to follow those curves without distorting the pattern or the branding.

The hull also has hardware, vents, and fittings that the wrap has to work around cleanly. Every edge at those interruptions has to be finished precisely; on a marine surface, any lifted edge is an entry point for water.

High-Profile Clients, Same Standard

AZRagIPS works with clients at every level, from individual vehicle owners to brand partnerships like this one. The standard doesn’t change based on who the client is. What changes is the visibility of the finished product.

When a brand like Travis Mathew puts their name on something, it has to be right. That’s the same expectation we hold on every job that leaves this shop.
