Meet the Porsche 911 GT4 R
The 911 GT4 R is Porsche’s first complete model change in GT4 since it entered the class in 2016, after building more than 1,500 Cayman-based race cars. It is based on the latest Type 992.2 911 Cup car and runs a 4.0 liter flat-six producing up to 520 horsepower, with wider front and rear track and updated motorsport electronics over the outgoing Clubsport. US pricing is set at $375,000, and the car is expected to make its competition debut at the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge season opener at Daytona in January 2027. For teams running single-make and GT4 programs, this is the car you will be campaigning for years.
